Getting there pretty early on Friday. Hopefully not too early so my roomies don't kill me when I wake them up. Have to discuss with Dad how late he's willing to go in. Gotta say this location is quite handy though as Dad can just drop me off on his way to work as he works really close to the con hotel, lol. Last year he was babbling about a cosplay group he saw during his lunch break which I'm pretty sure was PixieKitty, her hubby, and Laura. XD

Anyways!

Friday:
- Morning/Early Afternoon - Yosuke - so I can have at least some time in a comfy outfit and plan to hit the Dealer's in this as its like one of only 2 costumes I'm bringing I can actually GO into the Dealer's with. ^^;;
- 2pm-ish - Ciel - Going to try to aim to get to the Kuro gathering but may be a bit late
- 7pm - Kuro private shoot! (Oh god I'm going to be in Ciel for a long time aren't I T_T)
- 11:30pm - Going to attend the cosplay burlesque just to watch, hope the other acts aren't too painful ^^;;

Saturday:
- Morning/Early Afternoon - Cloud regular version - Might enter Hall with this, getting wig styled whenever Corey arrives, hopefully not too late >>; Debating asking Sarah to do it Fri night instead to save on time.
- 3pm and onward - Gilbert Nightray with our mini PH group - huzzah!
- 10pm - Kaya concert
- midnight ish - Katsu skit rehearsal (I'm going to be so dead at this, lol)

Sunday:
- ...I have no idea! XD Debating bringing a 4th comfy costume or may just wear parts of Ciel. Dunno. Will figure out something by tonight.

And still to do:
Gil:
- Make hat (I'm going to get it done I swear) handstitch lining on hat
- Snaps on shirt (so it actually stays on...lol)
- Paint gun
- Fix hem on pants - in-progress
- Gun holster (not doing this for this con >>;)
Cloud:
- Redo hem on pants - in-progress
Doll stuff:
- Make doll kitty hoodie for Corey - in-progress
- Make a few pairs of doll wings to sell

Here's some Gil progress now that I finally have enough done worth showing XD



Sadly you can't see the little belty strips that are on the sleeves here but they do exist. XD And on the chair behind it you can see the in progress butt bow/belt pieces.

Still a lot to do though...

Gil:
- Finish bias tape and slipstitching on butt bow/belt thing
- Attach butt bow/belt thing to outfit, bend wire into right shape
- Make buckles
- Make gold closures for shirt
- Make cravat
- Make hat (I do have a back-up hat in case I can't get this done in time)
- Design on gloves
- Paint gun - in-progress
- Fix hem on pants
- Earring - waiting for paint to dry
- Gun holster (optional if I have time)

Cloud:
- Redo hem on pants
- Glue boots back together

Yosuke:
- Maybe repaint headphones

- Make doll kitty hoodie for Corey
- Make a few pairs of doll wings to sell

Oh and are there any other folks doing Kuroshitsuji who haven't told me already? Just wanna check first. XD

I am now finally caught up with the Nightrunner series. ^_^ Finished Shadows Return today on the way home from work. Loved all 4 books very much so but kinda knew I would from the start. I think Shadows Return is my favorite though Traitor's Moon is pretty close too. My only real complaint about Shadows Return is that it was way too short in comparison with the earlier 3.

So now I get to wait with the rest of you all for The White Road. XD

But oh man it feels so nice to finally be up to date so I can stop almost-spoiling myself.

I'm not even sure which part was my favorite as it was all pretty awesome and hilarious. The Japanese game show killed me. XDXD

Today at work we (as in the costume shop which was only 4 of us today) managed to set off the fire alarm.

Go us. XD

See our iron has issues. And lately it seems to get dirty on a regular basis. Most likely due to the CRAPTASTIC costumes we are renting (and really they should be paying us instead considering all the repairs we've done on them) from Western Costumes since they're super old. So we keep having to clean the damn thing.

So today Lauren was determined to get the iron 100% clean so she's steaming away with the cleaner and the rest of us are like "do be do" totally not noticing anything until suddenly the fire alarm goes off. And we're all just sitting there like "...whut?" And Lauren's all "wtf, did I do that?"

Yup. It was us. XD Though tech thought it was them as there was smoke going on with some of their stuff so it might have been a combination of both...but still...definitely us that are mostly the cause. Since when we came back up after the firemen came in and all, we THEN realized how smokey it was. lol It's so sad that we didn't even notice 'cause the lighting is so bad up there as is.

Though luckily no one was upset about it. In fact all the actors seemed pretty happy to have the break. lol Was pretty amusing seeing them all stuck outside in their costumes. But yeah sadly it did get us a bit behind in our stuff and so today was crazy with us rushing around...though granted I'm not sure how it could have made that much of a difference considering how behind we are is determined by how far the actors are in tech. *shrug*

Happy (belated) Halloween everyone. XD

I left for Littlestown right after work on Friday so had no chance to really post about my plans on here beforehand. Also didn't do anything with the dolls this time around but really I would've just been doing the same thing I've done the last 2 years with them. ^^;;

But anyways, went to the Brittany/Alyce/Tom place for the Rome themed Halloween party which was much fun and really probably the most fun I've had on Halloween in a long time. To fit the theme I was silly and did Brutus from the Takarazuka show, Rome at Dawn. XD Its missing some details considering I made it in less than a week but I may make it more accurate at a later date and wear it to a con or something. Probably should figure out how to pull off the otokoyaku make-up first (or find someone who can do it on me for me as I suck with make-up.)

So yeah was my first time actually making a costume for Halloween. XD I usually just wear something I already have done. Though of course I had to make it a cosplay so it would be something I could wear later on even though I doubt I'll ever find anyone else wanting to do Rome at Dawn with me and probably won't be recognized at a con. But pfft it was fun and I'm sure the few people who do know it will appreciate it once its actually finished.

So I need help deciding between two wigs for Gil. Reference image for those who aren't familiar with the character.

I'm debating between:

This HK character wig - character wigs are always a chance as some of them tend to be thin

or

Cosworx Scruffy in Black - which may need some styling but Corey tells me she likes that one better for it

The price is pretty much the same. Just not sure which I like better.

Edit: Forgot about the 3rd option which is to get the long scruffy and cut it down if one thinks the regular scruffy is too short.

DOD has done it again.

But this time I actually was planning to get a body already. So I was planning on making an order, just decided to wait for the event to happen and plus they didn't make the new DOT body available before this event.

So yeah, just checking to see if anyone else wants anything off the site because it looks like I'm going to be placing an order soon. XD

I'm getting the new DOT body for my Elf Sha head. And there's an outfit I've been considering I might get too and well...that would obviously qualify me for the new head. And yeah, lol, I actually do like them and have a use for one. Just not sure which one to get. XD God, DOD, I hate you!

So either way I'm doing an order, just seeing if anyone else wants to join in on any items. Sadly the outfits aren't on sale this time. Was kinda hoping for that.

So before everyone freaks out...despite the fact it says "The End" there's still one more chapter scheduled. lol Yeah, I don't know why they did it like that. I guess they want the final chapter to be like an epilogue.

So yeah, fear not, there's still one more chapter for them to make it even worse. XD

...and I'm still not sure what even happened this chapter. Pfft.
